Will running Mail360 Data Manager 3.1 Database on a Virtual Machine cause any performance or functionality issues versus a physical server

Product Affected:  EngageOne™ Inform (Previously EngageOne™ Delivery Audit/MAIL360 Data Manager™)
Operating System: Windows 2012
Configuration: Virtual Machine

Currently Mail360 Data Manager™ v2.4 is running in Cluster Servers(SQL 2008) on physical servers. But while migrating to Windows/SQL 2012 and upgrading to Mail360 Data Manager v3.1 they are planning to move the database to Virtual Machine instead of Clustered server.

Could you please let us know if running Mail360 Data Manager 3.1 Database on a Virtual Machine(VM) will cause any performance or functionality issues?

For functionality, there should be no difference.

For performance, what is the detail of the new VM?
If you can match all the systems, we don’t foresee any problems

This document has the latest information about hardware and benchmark testing that has been presented and tested.
These benchmarks were tested on physical machines.  But we don’t expect any degradation using the VM environment.
