How to apply saved metadata(.qsfm) to a new focus in Portrait Miner

Portrait Miner allows to copy focus metadata from one focus to another, including definitions of derived fields, field interpretations, binnings, record selections, field and focus comments, and focus history.

In Portrait Miner Client, do one of the following:

      1.

  • Right-click on the focus-metadata (.qsfm) file, and choose Import as Metadata to Focus.
  • In the Import Metadata to Focus dialog box, choose the target focus.
      2.
  • Right-click on the target focus, and choose Metadata Import.
  • In the Import Metadata to Focus dialog box, choose the focus-metadata file.
You can choose exactly what kind of metadata to import and change the target for the focus. Once the parameters are defined, click Next to choose import details.

To get detailed information on how to apply saved metadata to a new focus, click on Help (F1) in Portrait Miner Client and search for the topic 'Copying focus metadata from one focus to another'.
