UPDATED: September 20, 2017

  1. Download JDK 1.6 (32-bit version)
  2. Install as Administrator
  3. Once installed go to Start > Computer > Properties > Advanced System Settings > Environment Variables
  4. Add a new environment variable called JAVA_HOME with the value of the newly installed JDK file path. For example JAVA_HOME= c:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jdk1.6.0_26
  5. Then add %JAVA_HOME%\bin; to the existing PATH environment variable
  6. It is not required that users uninstall earlier versions of the JDK or JRE but users will need to re-install MapInfo Manager using the NoVM version of the installer
