How amber and red periods of the intergreen within a Designer phase gets treated in Paramics

UPDATED: November 20, 2017

By default, vehicle movements during an amber period is determined by a combination of travelling speed and distance to exit stop line (outbound link) and entry stop line (inbound link). If there is sufficient time for the vehicle to complete the movement during the amber period the vehicle will complete the movement. In order to override this behaviour, creation of new plugin is required.

A small portion of vehicles 'running' the red period is intentional to prevent vehicles from making a sudden stop at the 'stopline' and resulting into the following vehicles to crash into the rear bumper.
