How to set the normal preset on the DM100i, DM125 and more

Normal presets are the default settings on your meter that you define with your most commonly used values, such as postage rates and class. These normal preset values will be the default state on your mailing system when it is first powered on, or after it awakens from "sleep" mode.

Follow these steps to create a Normal preset (example: First-Class Letter):

  1. From the Home screen, select Class
  2. Select US Domestic
  3. Select a class of mail - e.g., 1st Class 
  4. Add your desired settings - e.g., select Letter
  5. Select Done
  6. Confirm the screen now shows the correct class
Follow these steps to Save your selected settings as the Normal preset:
  1. Press Custom Presets
  2. Select Define Normal Preset
  3. At the meter prompt, select Yes: store preset
  4. Select Continue
  5. Press Home. The system returns to the Home screen. Your Normal preset has been created and is ready to use.
