How to set or change the normal preset on the DM100i, DM125, DM200L and DM225

UPDATED: October 23, 2017

Normal presets are the default settings on your meter that you define with your most commonly used values, such as postage rates and class. These normal preset values will be the default state on your mailing system when it is first powered on, or after it awakens from "sleep" mode.

Note: You cannot edit a normal preset. To change it, create a new normal preset, which will replace the previous one.

Watch this video or follow the instructions below to learn how to create a First-Class Letter Normal Preset on your DM100-DM225™:

To create a normal preset, first you define all of the settings that you would like to save as part of the preset, then save them:
  1. First, define the settings that you would like to save as part of the normal preset:
    1. From the Home screen, select Class.
    2. Select US Domestic or US Intl.
    3. Select the desired class.
Tip: To ensure that your preset is automatically updated when rates change, define your preset using a class rather than a fixed amount.
    4. Select the desired package type.
    5. Add any other settings you wish to use for your normal preset.
    6. Select Done.
  2. Confirm that the screen shows the correct class.
  3. Now save those settings as the normal preset:
    1. Press Custom Presets.
    2. Select Define Normal Preset.
    3. Select YES:store preset.
    4. Select Continue.
  4. Press Home. The system returns to the Home screen.
