How to set or change the normal preset on the DM100i, DM125, DM200L and DM225

UPDATED: February 22, 2017

Normal presets are the default settings on your meter that you define with your most commonly used values, such as postage rates and class. These normal preset values will be the default state on your mailing system when it is first powered on, or after it awakens from "sleep" mode.

Note: You cannot edit a normal preset. To change it, create a new normal preset, which will replace the previous one.

Watch this video or follow the instructions below to learn how to create a First-Class Letter Normal Preset on your DM100-DM225™:

Follow these steps to create a normal preset:

  1. Define the settings that you would like to save as the normal preset:
    1. From the Home screen, select Class.
    2. Select US Domestic or US Intl.
    3. Select the desired class.
Note: It is recommended to define your preset using a class to ensure that the mail is rated correctly and is automatically updated when rate change updates are applied.

  2. Add any other settings you wish to use for your normal preset.
  3. Select Done.
  1. Confirm that the screen shows the correct class.
