Using precanceled stamps in a mailing with MailStream Plus

Product affected: MailStream Plus™, all versions, all platforms

Some mailings may be using precanceled stamps on the mail pieces.  To indicate precanceled stamps are being used, use an ALG PP parameter with a 'C' in position 8.

To indicate the value of the precanceled stamps being used, use either an RP INF, EP INF, or BATINF parameter with the subkeyword MDMFPD starting in position 28, and enter the value of a precanceled stamp starting in position 35 for 6 digits.
We recommend using the 9999.9 cents format (for example, 0012.3 which would indicate $0.123 ( i.e. that the stamps being used in the mailing have a value of 12.3 cents each.)

So for example the two parameters would look like this, with the indicated positioning:
ALG PP C
RP INF                     MDMFPD 0012.3
*---+----1----+----2----+----3----+----4

For more information about using these or other parameters or subkeywords, please refer to the MailStream Plus™ Guide for your version of the software
