MapInfo Professional and how ANY, ALL, and IN used in a select or query statements

UPDATED: April 10, 2017

In MapInfo Professional How are ANY, ALL, and IN used in a select statement?

The ANY function is used to select any item in a set of items.

Example: State = ANY("NY", "VA") This example will select NY and VA from the column State.

Example: State <> ANY("NY", "VA") This example will select records not equal to NY and VA.

The ALL function is used to select records.

Example: State <> ALL("NY", "VA") This example will select all except NY and VA.

The IN function is equivalent to = ANY function.

Example: State IN ("NY", "VA") This example will select NY and VA from the column State.

Example: State NOT IN ("NY", "VA") This example will select records not equal to NY and VA.
