How to get a count of all DOCUMENTS (not pages) in Vault

If you run an audit with document counts enabled, it adds a document count column to the list.xxx.csv file that can be summed. You can also get the page count licence check to generate the audit files if you want this to happen nightly.

list.20150318.095409.csv:

"File Name","File Date","Error","Profile","Resource Set","Uncompressed","Compressed","Pages","Documents"

"20011111-tryme-telco-statement.drp",2015/03/18,0,"AFP","default",33690521,8512180,3972,500

"20011211-tryme-telco-statement.drp",2015/03/18,0,"AFP","default",34448655,8726468,4049,500

"20150202-tryme-telco-statement.drp",2015/03/18,0,"AFP","default",34903358,8845322,4095,500

server.ini:

[audit]

; display document count in audit list csv file

ListDocuments=1

; generate audit csv file during page count licence check

LicenceCheckAudit=1

; generate list csv file during page count licence check

LicenceCheckList=1

Another method would be to use index check to count the invlink entries: E:\Demo\Exjourn\server>indexcheck index\index\invlink.dri -noprint Index Diagnostic 6.1M1p0183 Search [index\index\invlink.dri] for: [] Found: 1500 matches (This works if all the documents appear in a specific database. If they're spread out it may not apply.).

For indexerd indexes, you can use -count instead.
