How to resolve HPUX error: addrscan: Program missing or inaccessible after upgrading to CODE-1 Plus 4.0

Operating System: unix

First, make certain setup.new has been renamed to setup and use this new setup in the c1p/bin directory.

Second, make certain to use the install script that comes with the 4.0 software.  If an older install script is used, the addrscan program will not be renamed and will be copied to the c1p/lib directory as:

-rwxrwxr-x 1 groupone group1 458752 Mar 9 15:21 xlibADDRSCAN.sl.hpx11.11x32
-rwxrwxr-x 1 groupone group1 395728 Mar 9 15:21 xlibADDRSCAN.sl.hpx11.11x64
-rwxrwxr-x 1 groupone group1 571120 Mar 9 15:21 xlibADDRSCAN.sl.hpx11.23i32
-rwxrwxr-x 1 groupone group1 644560 Mar 9 15:21 xlibADDRSCAN.sl.hpx11.23i64
-rwxrwxr-x 1 groupone group1 458752 Mar 9 15:21 xlibADDRSCAN.sl.hpx11.23x32
-rwxrwxr-x 1 groupone group1 395736 Mar 9 15:21 xlibADDRSCAN.sl.hpx11.23x64
-rwxrwxr-x 1 groupone group1 570656 Mar 9 15:21 xlibADDRSCAN.sl.hpx11.31i32
-rwxrwxr-x 1 groupone group1 644104 Mar 9 15:21 xlibADDRSCAN.sl.hpx11.31i64

The resolution in this particular example is to rename the xlibADDRSCAN.sl.hpx11.31i32 (if Titanium) to libADDRSCAN.sl.  If not Titanium, and depending on the HPUX release, one of the other “x32” files will have to be renamed.
