How to use the schema diagrams to write Structured Query Language in Confirm

UPDATED: March 24, 2017

For versions of Confirm® prior to 15.10 a Schema and Data Dictionary document was supplied with the software. This showed database schema diagrams that could be used to construct Structured Query Language (SQL).

From Confirm version 15.10 onwards the equivalent schema diagrams are stored in the help files (Reporting > Schema Diagrams).

You may also find these mechanisms helpful:
  • Right-click on a field on a Confirm screen to reveal the table and column from which that field's data is derived
  • Use Edit > Copy SQL on the menu bar to copy the SQL used to retrieve data for the main part of the screen that is displayed.
