How to increase session time out in Exponare REST Public

Steps to increase session timeout in Exponare REST Public:
  1. Open IIS and select website's Virtual Directory'.
  2. From feature, view select "Session State" under "ASP.NET" group.
  3. Increase the "Time-Out" value to a desirable value but less than 24 hours.

  1. Click Apply top right corner.
  2. From feature, view select Authentication under IIS group.
  3. Right click "Forms Authentication" and select Edit.
  4. For "Authentication cookie time-out" set the value same as set in Step 3

  1. Click Ok.
  2. Go to "Application Pools", select AppPool where an application is hosted and edit "Advanced Settings".
  3. Under "Process Model" group, edit "Idle time-out" and set it to same as in steps 3 and 7.

  2. Open web.config and add key under <system.config> tag <machineKey validationKey="00266E956449712B7E47E539CD5E2D235C6D70E2D813E2B3CF12205BOF54B37C4B24179FBAC8118195182786BD899209A37E531BF031EAA5EC430C6870258576" decryptionKey="A3DE5EC7BB7AB978C641728BD0FCEFDA73A711F4D417EFB2BF03CA2E595C3008" validation="SHA1" decryption="AES" />
  3. Save and reset IIS.
