How to edit MapMarker USA_DataManagerSettings.properties file and registry entry to correct license file name

UPDATED: March 30, 2017

If a customer receives a new license file, it may not match the name of the old file set in the registry and the USA_DataManagerSettings.properties file.

Here is a listing of the files and registry entries that need to be modified to match the new license file name.

1.  After receiving the permanent file, delete the temporary license file from the MapMarker data folder and replace with the new one.
2.
Modify the USA_DataManagerSettings.properties file so the license file path entry name matches the name of the new license file.  The default locations of that file are stated below:
(## would be the version number for the install.  Ex: v28 for version 28)

DESKTOP installation default location of USA_DataManagerSettings.properties:

C:\Program Files\MapInfo\MapMarker_USA_v##\MapMarker_USA_v##_Data
Or for 64-bit machines:
C:\Program Files (x86)\MapInfo\MapMarker_USA_v##\MapMarker_USA_v##_Data

If licensed for a Server version of MapMarker, the same USA_DataManagerSettings.properties file needs to be modified, but is in a different location.

SERVER installation default location of USA_DataManagerSettings.properties:
C:\Program Files\MapInfo\MapMarker_USA_v27\sdk\tomcat\webapps\mapmarker40\WEB-INF\classes
Or for 64-bit machines: C:\Program Files (x86)\MapInfo\MapMarker_USA_v27\sdk\tomcat\webapps\mapmarker40\WEB-INF\classes

3.  Modify the Registry entry of the License file Path for the DESKTOP

DESKTOP Registry entry to be modified:
(## would be the version number for the install.  Ex: v28 for version 28)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\MapInfo\MapMarker\USA\##.0\USER
Double-click on the right-side of the registry and modify the entry:
String value/ab -   Jvm_Path

4.  If licensed for a Desktop version of MapMarker, after all modifications are done, restart the MapMarker Desktop.
5.  If licensed for a Server version of MapMarker, after all modifications are done, restart the Tomcat/MapMarker server and restart any application using MapMarker.
