Opening Microsoft Outlook msg files as linked documents in Confirm OnDemand

Products affected: Confirm, Confirm OnDemand

Files with msg extensions can be added as Document Links in Confirm OnDemand but the OnDemand environment does not support opening such files.  The work around is to click the Copy full Document Location button to the right of the Document Location field on the Document Links screen.  Paste the result into Notepad to see the location of the file then open File Explorer in Confirm and go to that location.  You can then copy the file to a local drive and open it using your locally installed app which is probably Outlook.

An alternative workaround is to save mail items as HTML or in a text format first, then link the document.
