How to rotate an individual symbol in MapBasic

1. How to select and rotate an individual symbol in MapBasic. 
 
Open the US CAPS Tab. from the Introductory Data directory for the example. 

In MapBasic window type the following commands for the example:


dim obj1 as object
select * from custom_test where Capital = "Olympia"
obj1 = selection.obj
alter object obj1 info 2, MakeFontSymbol(113,0,12,"deciBel Planner Telecom",0,45)
Update Selection Set obj = obj1

(highlight statement and press enter) 



2. How to rotate all symbols style points at once in MapBasic.

Open the US CAPS Tab. from the Introductory Data directory for the example. 

Double click on the layer in layer control and click on the style override button, and select the rotation Angle (select 45) degreesand click OK.

In the mapbasic window below the statement will echo the following command:

Set Map Window 138638056 Layer 1 Global Symbol (33,16711680,48,"deciBel Planner Telecom",0,45)
