How to work around error "ENGAGEONE_OWNER.OCM_WORK_QUEUE.WORK_ITEM_IDENTIFIER" in EngageOne

Product Feature: Administration

Operating System: All

Database: Oracle

When using key fields in EngageOne you may receive the following error:

org.apache.axis2.rpc.receivers.RPCMessageReceiver invokeBusinessLogic com.g1.ocm.api.WorkQueueException: java.sql.SQLException: ORA-12899: value too large for column
"ENGAGEONE_OWNER"."OCM_WORK_QUEUE"."WORK_ITEM_IDENTIFIER" (actual: 485, maximum: 255)

This can be worked around by running the following Oracle command:

ALTER TABLE OCM_WORK_QUEUE MODIFY (WORK_ITEM_IDENTIFIER varchar2(2000) not null);

The only negative impact that this has is the visual display or the work items in EngageOne correspondent might look odd, but the software will continue to function normally.

This is looking to be resolved at a future point.
