How to resolve an Evaluation serial number and access code being shown in Help>About this MapInfo Product window although product is fully licensed - MapInfo Professional

To changed the serial number and access code you will need to do this by accessing the registry.

Please follow the steps below:
  1. Close down MapInfo Pro.
  2. Go start and search for registry.
  3. For the x32 versions of MapInfo, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\MapInfo\MapInfo\Professional\
  4. For the x64 versions of MapInfo, navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\\MapInfo\MapInfo\Professional\
  5. Select the version of MapInfo Pro you have.
  6. Replace the AccessCode with you access code for your version of MapInfo.
  7. Replace the ProductID with you serial number.
Reopen MapInfo Pro and the go to Help>About this MapInfo Product and you should see that the serial number and access code as been changed.

If you are unable to access HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE please follow the steps below for the HKEY_CURRENT_USER directory.
  1. Please navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\MapInfo.
  2. Select the version of MapInfo Pro you have.
  3. Replace the AccessCode with you access code for your version of MapInfo.
  4. Replace the ProductID with you serial number.
Reopen MapInfo Pro and the go to Help>About this MapInfo Product and you should see that the serial number and access code as been changed.
