Portrait Dialogue - Is DCOM with encryption supported?

Distributed Component Object Model (DCOM) is used to read and write information to and from the Client and Server. It uses remote procedure calls (RPCs) to communicate between the client and server and supports encryption using the Packet Privacy option in the dcomcnfg tool used to configure DCOM. By default DCOM is not set to encrypt the information being sent through it. It can however be configured to use encryption.

Although Portrait Dialogue appears to work with DCOM being encrypted, it has never been tested and certified with the product hence it is not a supported configuration.
