Do MailStream Plus, CODE-1 Plus, and the List Products (Merge/Purge Plus, List Conversion Plus, Generalized Selection Plus, etc) support Oracle, or SQL, or other databases?

MailStream Plus, CODE-1 Plus, and the List Products (Merge/Purge Plus, List Conversion Plus, Generalized Selection Plus, etc) do not directly support Oracle, SQL, or other databases.
They require as input a flat file with fixed-position data in each record.  And they do not have the ability to communicate directly with external Databases such as Oracle or SQL.

But most of the named applications have 'exit' routines allowed on the input and output FILEDF parameters, and exit routines could be written to access Oracle, SQL, and other databases.
(Two older List Products 'Consumer Merge/Purge', and 'Business Merge/Purge', do not have FILEDF parameters.  Instead they have TAPExx and DISKxx input and output parameters which have a similar function, and would also allow for exit routines to be used.)

Using FILEDF, TAPExx, or DISKxx 'exit' routines in this manner is not something that normal Technical Support would be able to provide assistance or support for, since it involves custom coding.  If a user wanted to set up a process like this, the user would need to write the exit routine(s), or contract with Pitney Bowes Software Professional Services for an engagement.

There is another newer application from Pitney Bowes Software, called Spectrum Technology Platform , which can access Oracle and SQL databases directly.  Spectrum can be used to do List Product functions, address standardization, and call external applications such as MailStream Plus.
