How to see the SQL used to create the standard reports in Confirm

UPDATED: August 10, 2017

You can obtain the Structured Query Language (SQL) for any standard Confirm® report by saving the report as a Powersoft (or .psr) report and importing it as a template.  To do that follow these steps:
  1. Run the report which uses the SQL you require.
  2. Use Save to file... > Powersoft Report and save the output as a *.psr file.
  3. Open Reporting > Reporting Lookups > Import Report Template.
  4. On the Import Report Template screen select the file you created and enter a new Data Source Name and Report Name. Select OK.
  5. Open the newly created Data Source (Reporting > Reporting Lookups > Data Source).
  6. Select the SQL button to see the SQL behind the report.
The method for exporting a standard Confirm report is described in the Help files under Using existing Confirm reports and Import Report Template.

Some reports do not lend themselves to this method of export and re-import depending on how they are constructed behind the scenes, but for most reports this works fine. For example the Defective Street Works Notification report was built by using multiple/nested reports so, in this instance, you cannot get the SQL by saving to .psr format.
