Resolving MapInfo Pro Raster error/crash when accessing Raster tools

After installing MapInfo Pro 64-bit with a serial number that fully licenses MapInfo Advanced (MapInfo Raster), an error is generated when trying to access any preferences or tools associated with items on the Raster tab ribbon.

The error generated is:

To correct the problem, open Windows Explorer and go to the following folder:

C:\users\user login\AppData\Roaming\MapInfo

**Note: the C:\users\user login\AppData folder may be hidden by default.  To expose, go to Organize>folder and search options>view and select the radio button to "show hidden files and folders" and un-check the box:  "Hide protected operating system files".

Under the initial MapInfo folder, there should be another MapInfo folder and a Raster folder.  Within the Raster folder there should be another folder labeled with the latest version, i.e. "300".
The full path for version 3.0 (ships with MapInfo Pro 16.0) should be:
C:\users\user login\AppData\Roaming\MapInfo\Raster\300

If the Raster and sub-folder 300 do not exist, create those two folders and restart MapInfo Pro to check.

If the error is generated when starting MapInfo Pro and the C:\users\.....\MapInfo\Raster\300 folders exist,
open the 300 folder and delete any files within it. 
Then restart MapInfo Pro to test. 
The preference files should be regenerated. 
From  C:\Program Files\MapInfo\Professional\Raster, copy the MapInfoRasterUIPreferences.xml and MIRasterPreferences.xml files to the 300 folder
