How to improve performance issues - MapXtreme® .NET

UPDATED: July 14, 2017

Given the size of data consumed by MapXtreme applications, the typical number of users and the variety of Windows Server configurations that MapXtreme is installed on it's quite common to experience performance issues when using an application.

The first thing to change is the minimum and maximum pool size. Commonly the minimum pool size is set to 1 and the maximum pool size is set to 16. We'd suggest making the maximum and minimum pool size the same, a good starting position is to have a pool size that is generally 1-2 session instance(s) per CPU.

Once the changes have been made we'd suggest monitoring performance then try increasing the min and max size by the same amount until you see a difference in performance.
