How to determine if the IMpB will be 30 bytes or 34 bytes or other length when created using MailStream Plus

This Machinable parcel job created an IMpB (Intelligent Mail Parcel Barcode) that is 30 bytes.  In the past the IMpB has been 34 bytes.  Did something change in MailStream Plus ver. 8.3.3?
 
No, the software did not change.
 
If the IMBSER parameter has a S in position 28 then the IMpB will be 30 bytes.
If the IMBSER parameter has a L in position 28 then the IMpB will be 34 bytes.
 
Define the serial number size indicator for IM® Package barcode.
S   Use the short Intelligent Mail® Package barcode serial number format (7 or 10 digits long).
L   Use the Long Intelligent Mail® Package barcode serial number format (11 or 14 digits long).

**Note:  If the file includes invalid zips that are not send to the reject file, using S will result in 22 byte IMpB value and using an L will result in a 26 byte IMpB value where both will exclude the zip code value

There are 4 possible combinations for IMpB setup in MailStream Plus.
6-byte Mailer ID (MID) with short 10-byte serial number  
6-byte Mailer ID (MID) with long 14-byte serial number  
9-byte Mailer ID (MID) with short 7-byte serial number  
9-byte Mailer ID (MID) with long 11-byte serial number
