How to view your e-Return Receipt signatures on pitneybowes.com

Follow these steps to view your e-Return Receipt (eRR) signatures on the Pitney Bowes website:
  1. Sign In to your pitneybowes.com account
Note: If you have not yet created your username and password, you can sign up for a pitneybowes.com account.
  1. In Your Products, select the + (plus) icon for the product that was used to create the e-Return Receipt items

  2. There are three ways to view and download your e-Return Receipt signatures (details below):

To view and download a single e-Return Receipt signature:
  1. In the table that contains your tracking numbers, locate the tracking number for the item that you want to view. You may need to change the date range to view prior tracking numbers.
  2. In the Special Service column, select the E-return receipt link to view and download the e-Return Receipt signature
Note: The Special Service column will display Certified Mail if the e-Return Receipt is not yet available. The Special Service column will update from Certified Mail to E-return receipt once the e-Return Receipt is available. 

To view and download one week's worth of e-Return Receipt signatures:
  1. Near the top of the page, select Download E-Return Receipt
  2. In the dialog box that appears, select your account number and Mailer ID number, then select View ERR file
  3. In the Signature File List pop-up box, there are POD (proof of delivery) and TOC (table of contents) files. The POD files contain e-Return Receipt signatures. The TOC files do not contain e-Return Receipt signatures. Select the View link next to a POD file to view a week's work of e-Return Receipts.

To view and download a batch of up to 25 e-Return Receipt signatures:
  1. At the bottom of the page, select the Export E-Return Receipts link. This will create a single PDF that contains an e-Return Receipt for every tracking number in the current table that has an e-Return Receipt signature. The table will need to have at least one record where there is an E-Return Receipt under the Special Services column.

If you are unable to locate an e-Return Receipt signature on your online account, do the following:
  • Ensure the status of the item is delivered. This can be done by viewing the Status column on the Pitney Bowes website.
  • Ensure the item was processed with e-Return Receipt. This can be done by viewing the Cost column on the Pitney Bowes website. The cost of the item should be greater than $5.50 (postage + certified + e-Return Receipt).
  • Ensure enough time has passed for the e-Return Receipt to be available on the Pitney Bowes website. This can be done by viewing the Status Date column on the Pitney Bowes website.
    • The e-Return Receipt signatures are sent from the USPS to the Pitney Bowes website once per week, on Monday's. If Monday is a federal holiday, the e-Return Receipt signatures will be sent from the USPS to the Pitney Bowes website on Tuesday. 
    • Typically, if an item is delivered early in the week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), the e-Return Receipt signature will be available on the Pitney Bowes website the following Monday. If an item is delivered late in the week (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), the e-Return Receipt signature will be available on the Pitney Bowes website either the following Monday or the second following Monday.
