Why does the server generate a different Hardware ID in MapXtreme .NET

UPDATED: October 15, 2018

A Hardware ID change can occur for several reasons:
  • When a server switches between multiple CPUs.
  • When MapXtreme is installed on a Virtual Machine and the host of the Virtual Machine is changed.

You will need to request a new MapXtreme Web key for each of the hardware IDs that appear in the HardwareID.txt file generated by the MapXtreme MILicenseNodeID tool.
