How to connect to StartTLS enabled SMTP in e-Messaging

Follow these steps:
  1. Go to the 'Gateways' in e-Messaging home.
  2. From the list of the Gateways, select one needs to be configured.
  3. Provided details as suggested in the help in right side of each text box
  4. Click OK.

SSL check box should be un-checked. Mention the port on which StartTLS is running, default port for StartTLS is 587.

No other steps are required to connect e-Messaging to 'StartTLS' as this is enabled by default
in “<..>/e-Messaging\core.war\WEB-INF\classes\outboundProcessor.properties" property file. This file contains setting as "mail.smtp.starttls.enable=true".

In case connection is not being established with e-Messaging and SMTP Server, connection should be attempted with any other third party tool as well for example. ‘Mozilla Thunderbird’ (a freeware). Once connection to SMTP server is established  same settings could be applied in e-Messaging UI to have a successful connection.
