Rates and Software Update Instructions for the DM Infinity

This update will take approximately 20 to 30 minutes to complete.
  • During peak periods, heavy network traffic may require several connection attempts.
  • Some steps below may vary slightly from what you see on your meter. If so, follow the meter prompts to complete the update.

Before you begin:
  • If you use the accounting features, be sure to print all necessary accounting reports.
  • If AccuTrac™, SendSuite® Shipping or Ascent™ is connected to the system, power down the accounting system.
  • As you do for a postage refill, connect to a LAN or analog phone line.
  • If your meter requires a Lock Code, you will need to enter it at this time to begin the download.
Update Instructions for DM Infinity:
  1. Press the Funds key.
  2. Using the buttons on the left side of the screen, select Get Postage by Phone Balance.
  3. When the Balance Inquiry is complete, select Done.
  4. At the Software Update Available screen, select Get Update Now.
  5. Select OK, Restart now. Files will be stored and your meter will restart.
Note: When the system restarts, the Control Center display will be blank for up to 5 minutes as the system refreshes. Do not disconnect power or press any buttons while the screen is blank.
  1. Several messages will appear on your screen after your meter restarts:
    • Updating …% completed
    • Updating system……
    • Please stand by……. (will take several minutes)
    • System initialized and returned to home screen.
Your software update is complete.
  1.  Repeat steps 1-5.  Some meters may have a software update along with new rates so a second connection may be necessary.  
  2. Verify the update was installed successfully by clicking the button Confirm Meter Update:
