How to adhere to GDPR laws with Portrait Dialogue

There seems to be a lot of confusion around anything having to do with GDPR. The answer is, however, rather straight forward.  

There will not be a specific GDPR API in Dialogue, but what we have been telling customers is that the existing API already provides functions to GetSingleCustomer, DeleteSingleCustomer and UpdateSingleCustomer. 
This address the most important issues of GDPR.  These functions are not new, and are fully described in the Portrait Dialogue Reference Guide.

Using these functions may require some custom code which you will have to write, or engage with our Services team, which accesses the API and executes these functions in the manner required by your customers.
Customer View and the Telemarketing module already provide this, but it relies on a customised plugin which updates customer data, as well as documented configuration to allow updating domain data.
