VERIFIED SOLUTION i

Disabling the Outbound email address Validation in EngageOne Deliver

Product Affected: EngageOne Digital Delivery (eMessaging) of all versions

By default, all outbound emails go through validation process prior to the delivery to outbound gateway. This results in all deliveries with invalid email addresses to be marked as Content Failure in the Report.

In case, there is a need to disable email address verification, follow these steps:
  1. Stop EngageOne Digital Delivery application server e.g. Tomcat, JBOSS, etc.
  2. Locate the file outboundProcessor.properties in WEB-INF\classes sub-directory under the deployed core.war folder. The folder is normally placed under the installation directory e.g. C:\Program Files\PBBI CCM\EO_Digital_Delivery\core.war\WEB-INF\classes.
  3. Open the file with any text editor and locate the property named outbound.validateEmailByRegEx=true.
  4. By default the value configured for this property is true (validation is switched ON). We need to change the value to false so that the modified line becomes: outbound.validateEmailByRegEx=false.
  5. Save and close the file.
  6. Start EngageOne Digital Delivery application server.
