Issue

Processing of '.kill' file fails with following messages:

16:40:44 ERROR 19399: kill script command not allowed, command [H], allowed [AGPVDCL]
16:40:45 127.0.0.1:6001 mirror.status request, disable [0]

16:40:45 ERROR 19399: document kill failed, code [19399]

Cause

The error message indicates that '.kill' file script was trying to use the 'H' selection operator however same is not enabled in Vault.

Resolution

UPDATED: October 31, 2018

It is recommended not to use prefix matching in '.kill' file because the match set could be too high therefore, by default, only the A/G/P selection operators are enabled. If the 'H' operator is needed, it can be enabled by adding to the list of enabled operators in server.ini.

server.ini
[kill]
allowed=AGPH

Any change made in 'server.ini' file requires restart of all Vault services to take effect.
