'Set the clientidentifier key value in the config file.' message in EngageOne Inform

Issue

Error 'Set the clientidentifier key value in the config file.' is being observed while login into EngageOne Inform(formerly known as Mail360 Data Manager) Identify Server/Data Manager Web UI.

User-added image

Cause

  • 'clientIdentifier' key value not specified in 'Mail360IdentityServerUI.config.xml' file under directory '<Installed_Directory>\EngageOne\Delivery Audit\Identity Server Web Client' on the server where Identify Server Web is installed.
  • 'clientIdentifier' key value not specified in 'Mail360DataManagerUI.config.xml' file under directory '<Installed_Directory>\EngageOne\Delivery Audit\Data Manager Web Client' on the server where Data Manager Web is installed.

Resolution

UPDATED: February 12, 2019
In 'Mail360IdentityServerUI.config.xml'  and 'Mail360DataManagerUI.config.xml', value of the key 'clientIdentifier' needs to be specified as the 'common name' of the SSL certificate which is being used for secure communication between EngageOne Inform Services and the Web UI:

<add key="clientIdentifier" value="<SSL certificate common name>"></add>

After making these changes, IIS needs to be restarted.
