Email attachments from EngageOne 4.4.x not working when using IOS Mail app

EngageOne 4.4.x, email delivery channel


In EngageOne 4.4.9 or older, the document generated and attached to an email sent from EngageOne Server can't be opened or seen when using the IOS Mail app.

The document attached can be opened without any issues if using a different mail server app (i.e. gmail, hotmail, etc.)


This behaviour is caused by the 'content-type' setting currently used in EngageOne to send emails with attachments.

EngageOne sends email communications with attachments using the following content-type:

Content-Type: multipart/related;

The IOS Mail app only accepts the following content-type for emails with attachments:

Content-Type: multipart/mixed;

This issue has been fixed in EngageOne 4.4.10 where now all emails with attachments from EngageOne are sent with the 'mixed' content-type.
