Resolve error 019861001B "Tape jam" on the Connect+ series and SendPro P series

Products affected: Connect+® 500W, Connect+® 1000, Connect+® 2000, Connect+® 3000, SendPro® P1000, SendPro® P1500, SendPro® P2000, SendPro® P3000

Issue

The Connect+® displays error 0198-61-001B "Tape jam" and will not print tapes.

Cause

The tape is jammed.

Resolution

Follow these steps to resolve this error:
  1. Open the smoke colored cover on the top of your Connect+.
  2. Locate the blue lever on the right and pull it toward the left to release the tape.
  3. While holding the lever to the left, pull the tape out.
  4. Tear any damaged tape off the roll.
  5. Reinstall the tape.
  6. Select Feed forward on the screen.
  7. If the Feed forward option isn’t on the screen, select Home key at the top of the screen.
    1. Select Settings.
    2. Select Hardware.
    3. Select Tape.
    4. Select Feed Forward.
  8. Retry the tape.
