Issue

The Connect+® / SendPro™ P Series displays error code 0311-A1-00A4 "Printer cover open" and will not run mail.

Cause

The printer cover is open.

Resolution

This error code appears when the meter detects that the printer cover is open. Follow these steps to ensure that the cover is fully closed:
  1. Open the printer cover and make sure that the blue handle is all the way to the left, in the down position.
  2. Ensure that nothing is blocking the printer cover and preventing it from closing. 
  3. Ensure that the printer cover is even with the other covers.
  4. Close the printer cover.
If the issue is not resolved, contact customer support. Please have your model number ready.
