Resolve table merge problem in table ‘Directory’ for row ‘GlobalAssemblyCache’ in MapXtreme .NET

User is creating own installer using Windows Installer, previously know as Microsoft Installer(MSI) with MapXtreme merge module.
Below error pops while compiling the setup in 'Wise Installation'.

Error message

User environment has problem.

Additionally consider the following questions when troubleshooting a deployment installation:
  • What was used to deploy the application (for example runtime, SDK, Setup.exe, NCP/SCP?)
  • Is the license file located in C:\Program Files\Common Files\MapInfo\MapXtreme\7.x.x?
  • Are there additional .lic files on the machine? If so, remove them.
  • Is the customer on the deployment machine logged on as the administrator?
  • Is the 4.0 Framework installed on the deployment machine?
  • Is the CoreEngine registered as a COM+ application on the deployment machine?
  • Is the Visual C++ 10.0 CRT (runtime) installed on the machine?

UPDATED: August 1, 2017

There are a few additional requirements while creating your own installer with merge module (not available in the trial versions).
  • .NET Framework 4.0 (not client profile)
  • MSXML 6.0
  • VC++ 10.0 CRT (x86 and x64). x86 is needed for both x86 and x64 applications.
Add above prerequisites in deployment installation environment.

Refer "Deploying your application" section in Developer Guide for additional information.
