Web client Parser Error Message: Unrecognized attribute 'targetFramework'. Note that attribute names are case-sensitive.Framework using Mail360 Data Manager

Issue

For the MAIL360 Data Manager™ 2.5.0 Web UI, the URL that is used to access the Web application is http://server-name/datamanagerweb.
Here “server-name” will be the name of the server on which the Web Client is hosted.

When user typed – http://localhost:8080/DataManagerWeb using Internet Explorer of the Server where the Mail360 DataManagerWeb client was installed, the browser showed the below error:

Cause

User has just installed Mail360 Data Manager 2.5 on Windows Server 2012 with .Net 4.5 version enabled.

The Server has .NET Framework 4.5 and is installed properly.

But the Application Pool has version 2.0 set as the DefaultAppPool -

control panel -> Admin tools -> IIS Manager -> View Application Pool -> see attached screenshot > Application pools.png
 

Resolution

UPDATED: May 7, 2019

Under control panel -> Admin tools -> IIS Manager -> View Application Pool ->
 

Changing default .Net version from 2.0 to 4.0 will fix the issue.
