Resolve error in the CLI.cmd file when using the Spectrum Administration utility

Issue

The administration utility has been downloaded and extracted.

The intention is to run it on the same machine on which the spectrum server resides.

The CLI.cmd file when executed briefly flashes the command window and disappears.

Cause

To reveal the error message in this case which is attached, add "pause" minus quotes to the end of the script. Run the script again to reveal the message.

The path to Java could not be found according to the attached screenshot.

Resolution

UPDATED: October 16, 2017

Modify the CLI.cmd script again to make it point to the location of the <spectrum_install_location>\spectrum\java\bin folder.

Add "SETLOCAL" so the change is enforced locally and remove "pause" from the script.

The script then looks like this:-

@echo off
SETLOCAL
set JAVA_HOME="C:\Program Files\Pitney Bowes\Spectrum10.1\java"
set PATH=%JAVA_HOME%\bin;%PATH%
java -cp lib/spectrum-cli-runtime*.jar;lib/* -Djava.util.logging.config.file=logging.properties com.pb.spectrum.cli.Bootstrap %1 %2

Save and run the script again and the command window to connect to Spectrum should appear.
