Resolve "Need Operator ID" when using SendSuite Xpress with the DM500, DM800i and more

Products affected: SendSuite® Xpress, DM500™, DM525™, DM550™, DM575™, DM800™, DM800i™, DM825™, DM875™, DM900™, DM925™, DM1000™, DM1100™

Issue

The meter displays the message "Need Operator ID".

Cause

Accounting is enabled on the meter.

Resolution

UPDATED: September 28, 2017
To remove this message, Accouting needs to be disabled on the meter:
  1. Turn off the mailing machine.
  2. Close SendSuite® Xpress.
  3. Restart the mailing machine.
  4. Press Menu.
  5. Select Setup.
  6. Select Accounting Setup.
  7. Enter the supervisor password if required.
  8. Press the down arrow.
  9. Select Accounting.
  10. Select Off.
  11. Press the left arrow to return to the home screen.
  12. Open SendSuite Xpress.
