Resolve job file ingestion problems in MAIL360 Data Manager

Issue

The 'Job File' (also referred to as the 'Mail Piece file', or 'flat file') contains the information on the mail pieces in a mailing.  The information needs to be ingested into Data Manager (DM) prior to a mailing going out, so DM can correctly process the USPS scan data when it is received as a mail piece goes thru the USPS delivery process.

This knowledge article concerns if one or more Job Files are not being ingested and/or are erroring during ingestion.

Cause

1)
If *no* job files are being ingested, then it might be that one or more of the DM Services are not running. They can be checked via Windows 'Control Panel' -> 'Administrative Tools' -> Services' (or a similar path depending on your version of Windows.)

2)
If just one particular job has failed, it may be that the Job File is not formatted correctly, or is missing data.  You can refer to the DM User's Guide, Appendix B, for the correct layout.
The User's Guide for DM version 2.6.0 is attached (but the Job File layout itself is also the same for versions 2.4.0 and 2.5.0 as well.)  For anything besides the Job File layout, you should obtain the User''s Guide for your version of DM, from the www.g1.com/support web site.

Resolution

UPDATED: July 26, 2017
1)
If the services are all running, then you can refer to the DM Operations Guide for your DM version for additional information.  The Operations Guide for DM version 2.6.0 is attached. Operations Guides for other versions (and all DM documentation), are available at the www.g1.com/support website.

2)
If a Job File(s) was not correct, and has been corrected, instructions for re-ingesting the file are in the Operations Guide in the section "
Managing the Large Message Queue (LMQ)".  The Operations Guide for DM version 2.6.0 is attached. Operations Guides for other versions (and all DM documentation), are available at the www.g1.com/support website.
