Resolve Error 1280 on the DM500, DM800i, DM900, DM1000, and more

Issue

The meter displays error code 1280 and will not run in WOW mode.

Cause

The Weigh-On-The-Way® (WOW) system has encountered an unexpected error.

Resolution

UPDATED: September 1, 2017
You may be able to clear the error by restarting your meter. Follow these steps to restart safely:
  1. Turn the power off with the power switch.
  2. Wait for the display to turn off.
  3. Wait one to three minutes.
  4. Turn the power switch back on.
Note: Do not touch the mailing machine while it is booting up. Also, make sure that there are no air currents blowing on the mailing machine and there is no table vibration.
