Issue

Emessaging receive bounce with error code 550/554 and does not update bounce report.

Cause

Client reported and issue whereby email id: firstname.lastname@dominio.com bounces with error code: Error:Unable to resolve DNS record for destination domain 554 Transaction failed Client will send the the log and pdf of the indiviual sent repot.

Check server mail error code, some error code place the domain in a block list . Checking the header  mailer-daemon of the email can give a error code information and sometimes how the server handled that mail, in this case the mail server, send the companies domain to a block list due to great number of invalid email ID. Once client removed their domain out of the block list and correct the invalid email ID to a valid one, the messages were process by the server and emessaging was able to update the report.
