As part of the DTF 8.1 standard, the Description Field is mandatory for all new records entered after the 1st April 2015.
The Confirm® application is requiring descriptions to be added to older record in the NSG.
As part of DTF 8.1, the Description field is now mandatory.

As part of the upgrade to v15.1 of Confirm, the database will auto populate blank descriptions with the Designation name. So the user does not need to populate the description for all the existing designations.
