Resolve error 1722 when trying to install MapInfo Professional

Issue

When trying to install MapInfo Pro you may get the error 1722

Cause

This error message may appear when trying to use the autostart.exe file

Resolution

UPDATED: April 4, 2017


The autosetup files can be found in the installations folder of MapInfo. From that folder please go to:
  • Install>MI_PRO>DISK1 and then you should see three files.
  • Right click on setup.exe and then select the option 'Run as administrator'.
