Resolve error "You cannot save a workspace with RouteFinder running - please close RouteFinder and try again" in Routefinder 4.11

Issue

When Routefinder is running and the network MapInfo workspaces can no longer be save. 

The following message is thrown:

This did not occur with version 4.04 and is a critical limitation because it may take time to prepare a workspace before routing. Unloading Routefinder to save the workspace and afterwards load the network again would be a huge inconvenience because re- loading the Routefinder network usually takes time.

Cause

The issue has been introduced in version 4.11 but has been already solved in the Routeware version for MapInfo 4.12.

Unfortunately we have the very first release of 4.11 (16-7-2015), which was silently updated at 25-7 to remove the workspace "feature".
Somehow that didn't make it into the PB installer.

Resolution

UPDATED: September 8, 2017


The next MapInfo version will hold the fix as well but for now the only solution is to run the Routeware version for MapInfo 4.12. Unfortunately the MapInfo license will not work with this version and a trial license for the Routeware version needs to be requested from Routeware directly here

The only workaround we can provide at this point is:

1. Closing down MapInfo as just closing down Routefinder will eliminate "Save Workspace" form File menu:

2. Restart MapInfo without Routefinder and prepare the workspace again
3. Now load MapInfo Routefinder via Tools menu or just run the MBX using Tools > Run MapBasic Program...
