PIOM service fails to start due to Drive mapping issues

Issue

PIOM service fails to start due to Drive mapping issues.

Cause

The NET_USE_G= was causing the drive mapping to fail in the svcvip.ini.

Resolution

UPDATED: April 26, 2017

Changing the command to a NET USE G: statement and removing the "SHARE_API=SYSTEM" command from the svcvip.ini resolves the issue.

*note*  SHARE_API=SYSTEM tells the system to use the older system command NET_USE_G:  with the underscores and is not needed.  It should be used if you need to include a user name and password for drive mapping.  Example svcvip.ini below:

set vipcfgp=v:\MGR2.4\config
set vipcfge=cfg
VIPEXEC=VIPEXEC
EXECRESTART=YES

SHARE_API=SYSTEM
NET_USE_G=\\spooledell\external_drive    /USER:userid    password
