Resolve issue in Confirm where Attribute Dependencies do not automatically populate as expected

Products Affected: Confirm
Product Feature: Asset Register

Issue

A user has set up Attribute Dependencies. As in the below screenshot, they have made the Construction attribute type dependent on the Surface Type attribute. This can be achieved by populating the 'Depends on' field of Attribute type:

Attribute Type Screen

Click on the Depend button of the Construction Attribute Type to set the default values:

Attribute Value Dependencies Screen

With reference to the Feature Screen, this does not appear to be working - even after a 'Save':

Feature Screen

In the above example the user expects the Construction value to populate automatically, based on the value to which ‘Surface Type’ has been set.

Cause

Confirm does not function in the above manner. The functionality allows you to set up the dependencies but they are not enforced (and have no impact) on the Feature screen. There is a Report/Update that will populate the dependent attribute based on the value of the parent one.

It does not work as expected - e.g. by changing one drop-down (test1) and then having the other drop-down (test2) automatically change.

The  functionality allows you to set up the dependencies but they are not enforced (and have no impact) on Feature screen.

There is a report/update that will populate the dependent attribute based on the value of the parent one. This looks to be the Feature Dependent Attribute Update.
