Confirm - mscorlib Error when Launching Confirm

Product Feature: Installation / Upgrade

A user upgraded their test environment with Confirm V16 & installed V16 on to a test Windows 7 machine. The application worked fine and seemed to function correctly but, upon first launch, the user is presented with the below error:

'mscorlib' error

If the user clicks OK the splash screen appears and the user can login as usual, with no issues. If the user reboots and tries again this message does not reappear. What could be causing this error?

This actually happens if the installation directory (e.g. C:\Program Files (x86)\Pitney Bowes\Confirm\Client) has both ConfirmWBRenderer.exe and ConfirmWBRenderer.dll. In this example possibly the Test environment somehow got both files and caused the error.

UPDATED: March 30, 2017
a clean installation/upgrade should resolve this error as the machines then won't have the two files, ConfirmWBRenderer.exe and ConfirmWBRenderer.dll, at the same time. If installer asks to reboot the machine, please do do that.
