Resolve Manufacturing Mode message on the DM500, DM800i, and more

Issue

The meter has the message "Manufacturing Mode" on the display and will not run mail.

Cause

The internal meter software has malfunctioned.

Resolution

UPDATED: May 7, 2018
You may be able to clear the error by restarting the meter. Here are the steps to follow for a safe restart:
  1. Turn the power off with the power switch.
  2. Wait for the display to turn off.
  3. Wait one to three minutes.
  4. Turn the power switch back on.
