Resolve issue where User is unable to edit the budget code on a cost code in Confirm

Issue

When trying to edit the budget code on an existing Cost Code for Non Routine Maintenance Jobs the budget code is greyed out and cannot be edited.

Cause

This normally occurs when more than one cost code is pointing at the same budget code. When more than one cost code is using the same budget code the cost code with the same code as the budget code will not be editable. This is by design.

Resolution

UPDATED: July 20, 2017

You must change the budget code on the extra cost codes, you will then be able to edit the budget code on the original cost code.

The following SQL will list all cost codes point at the same budget code (change the 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxx' to the relevant budget code)

SELECT
cost_code.cost_code,
cost_code.cost_code_name,
cost_code.budget_code
FROM
cost_code
WHERE
cost_code.budget_code like 'xxxxxxxxxxxxxx'

Product Feature: Non-routine Maintenance
