Resolve error "User Interface Mode Not Supported" during Vault installation

Issue

Error message "Installer User Interface Mode Not Supported" encountered during Vault installation.
Refer to the attached screenshot.
Installer aborts after this error message, hence installation is not completed.
 

Cause

The old graphical installer is not supported on Windows 2012. These installer uses an older version Install Anywhere that does not work with newer versions of Windows.

Resolution

UPDATED: April 24, 2017


Refer Vault documentation (Vault Installation Guide) to ensure the supported version of Windows is used to install Vault version. If this is not the case, please use one of the supported Window's version.

If Vault is installed on one of the supported Window's version follow the below steps:
1) Right-click the 'Setup.exe' ( located under <installer>\Windows) and select ‘Properties’.
2) Select the ‘Compatibility’ tab.
3) Check the box next to ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select ‘Windows 7’ from the drop-down menu.
In case 'Windows 7' is already selected ensure check box ‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’  is also selected
4) Click ‘Apply’.
5) Rerun the installer.
