Resolve print head communication errors on the Connect+ Series and SendPro P-Series

Learn how to Resolve print head communication errors on the Connect+ 500W, Connect+ 1000, Connect+ 2000, Connect+ 3000, SendPro P1000, SendPro P1500, SendPro P2000 and SendPro P3000.

Issue

The meter displays one of the following error codes:
  • 041822009B: Printer PCA board error
  • 04182200B2: Printer unable to communicate with print head
  • 041842003D: Missing print head
  • 041842003A: Missing print head
  • 041842003B: Print head error in the left slot of {{printaxis}} carriage

Cause

The printer has lost communication with the print head.

Resolution

To resolve these errors, remove and reinsert the print head:
  1. From the Home screen, select Settings under Mailing.
  2. Select Hardware.
  3. Select Printer.
  4. Select Print head at the top of the screen.
  5. Select Install New.
  6. Follow the instructions on the screen to remove and reinstall the print head.
Note: You can reinstall the existing print head. You do not need to install a new print head.
  1. Select Start or Tape to print a test pattern.
  2. Select Image is OK - Done.
  3. Press Home to return to the Home screen.
If the issue is not resolved, contact client support. Please have your model number ready.
